Trail rules:

Consideration for others - Every cross-country skier must behave in such a way that they do not endanger or harm others.

Signage, direction, and technique - Markings and signals (signposts) must be observed. Trails and pistes must be used in the given direction and technique.

Choice of track and piste - On double and multiple tracks, skiing must be done in the right track. Skiers in groups must ski one behind the other in the right track. In free technique, skiing is done on the right side of the piste.

Overtaking - Overtaking may be done on the right or left. The skier in front does not have to give way but should if it can be done safely.

Oncoming traffic - When meeting, everyone must move to the right. The descending skier has priority.

Pole handling - When overtaking, being overtaken, and meeting, the poles must be kept close to the body.

Adjusting speed to conditions - Every skier must adjust their speed and behavior on downhill sections according to their ability, terrain conditions, traffic density, and visibility. A sufficient safety distance to the skier in front must be maintained. If necessary, they must fall to avoid a collision.

Clearing trails and pistes - Those who stop must step out of the trail/piste. A fallen skier must clear the trail/piste as quickly as possible.

Helping others - Everyone is obligated to help in case of accidents.

Identification obligation - Everyone, whether witness or involved, responsible or not, must provide their personal details in case of an accident.

Cross-country skis, poles & boots, warm winter clothing, ideally in layers, gloves, sunglasses, possibly sunscreen, drink, snack, and bus timetable.

Rental of cross-country ski equipment in local sports shops.

Lift parking lot Star Jet or parking lot BBF-Center in the center of Flachau.

Along the route to Flachauwinkl, the public post bus runs on Flachauwinklstraße.
