The family-friendly route starts at the Starjet 2 exit and passes by the Latschenhof. Along the forest road, it goes up to Starjet 3 and then via a hiking trail up to the Grießenkar. Once at the top, it continues for a few meters on a hiking trail over the Saukar back to the lift station.
Planning & preparation: A precise route planning is recommended before every mountain hike. Information from locals such as mountain guides or hut keepers as well as hiking maps will help you.

The basic equipment of a hiker includes:
- sturdy, high footwear with grippy soles
- appropriate mountain clothing
- enough to drink
- snacks for in between
- sunglasses, sunscreen if necessary, or rain protection
- mobile phone
- hiking poles
- first aid kit
Parking is available in the center of Flachau (BBF Center & Minigolf parking lot).
