After exiting the lift at the mountain station of the Starjet 2 (6-seater chairlift), we proceed past the huts and mountain inns of the Grießenkaralmen Latschenhof, Jandlalm, and Hofalm along the Grießenkarweg downhill. Shortly after the Jandlalm hut, we turn right over the ski slope to the Birkhahnalm (open only in winter) and then turn left onto the hiking trail. After a few switchbacks, we enter an idyllic forest and continue until the Grießenkarweg. We follow this for about 100 meters, then turn right and come to a small wooded area with a reservoir pond. Here, shady resting places await us with magnificent views of the Dachstein mountains. After the reservoir, the hiking trail leads us again into a small forest, and we continue along the edge of the ski slope to the middle station of Starjet 1+2. Of course, this hike is also possible from bottom to top.
Surefootedness is required in some spots.

Sturdy footwear, backpack with change of clothes, and warm wind- and weatherproof outerwear as a cold wind often blows at higher altitudes.
Parking in the center of Flachau.
Take the Sportwelt bus to the "Flachau Ortsmitte" stop. Then walk 200 meters to the valley station of the Starjet (summer lift operation).
