More informations

The route leads from the center of Flachau past the Flachau parish church along the cycle path heading south. After an initial warm-up phase on the valley floor, the first steep climb follows after about 1.3 km via a forest road (approx. 600 meters) up to the saddle path. We follow this 200 meters downhill to the intersection with the "Way of Good Wishes." We turn right and follow the "Way of Good Wishes" initially quite steeply uphill before it becomes a bit flatter after about 300 meters and we walk along the ridge path. Here you have a wonderful view of the upper Enns valley with the surrounding mountain world. After about 2 km, we turn right off the forest road into a small wooded area before the view opens up again. After another 500 meters, the "Way of Good Wishes" turns right, and a fairly steep ascent of about 200 meters awaits us. Then it goes right and along the forest path quite flat. After another 300 meters, we turn left and come to the forest path towards Sattelbauer. Now a cooling and very varied wooded section of about 1 km awaits us, which leads us directly to the Sattelbauer clearing after a small right turn (do not miss), where the Hubertus chapel also stands. Now it is only 200 meters across a meadow to the mountain guesthouse Sattelbauer. Here there is the possibility to take a short break and strengthen yourself for the rest of the route back to the valley. From now on, it is only downhill, and we follow the signposting "Way of Good Wishes" for about 3 km back to the starting point, the center of Flachau.
